On July 6, 2018, at the Mitsubishi Electric Event Square METoA Ginza, in Ginza, Tokyo, the “Space Challenge in Ginza – Revealing Secrets of Outer Space with Satellites and Large-Scale Telescope!” event was held.
aircord handled the direction, production, and lighting systems for the symbol objet installation.
We created an objet based on the concept of seeing the Earth from a variety of perspectives – for example, from an artificial satellite, or from outer space, etc. – which would change expression through its environment and the perspectives of visitors.
The mobile was designed using Earth and artificial satellite motifs, and utilizes a specialized film which changes the appearance depending on the angle upon which it is viewed, and is controlled through a lighting system of 6 moving LED lights.
Due to popular demand, the exhibition was extended for an extra month, and attended by a large number of visitors.
